“We were so delighted to receive a letter of thanks and congratulations from the Peterborough Local Authority last week. Gary Perkins, the ‘Assistant Director for Education’, has highlighted the excellent progress the children of St. John’s made last year, from Year 1 and 2 Phonics, to the end of Key Stage 2, Year 6 SATs results.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of the parents and carers and the wider community of St. John’s who have supported in this endeavour. We aim to move ‘onwards and upwards’ again this year, with even higher expectations and aspirations for the children of St. John’s! We would like to thank you all in advance for your continued support, as, together, we continue to work hard to ensure that all children achieve, learn and grow to the best of their abilities.” Mrs Foster

“As you know, last year was an amazing year in terms of the excellent attainment our children showed in their end of year assessments. You can see from Mrs Foster’s response, our pleasure and delight in the letter from the Local Authority.  We thank all our parents, you do an amazing job in supporting your child and the school. The Local Authority recognises the hard work the staff and children put in and all their relentless drive to make great learning happen. Over the years we have become a beacon of good practice and often welcome Heads and Teachers from other schools to learn from us, I feel very proud of what we have achieved and what we will continue to achieve.

As a school we strive to make each day a better one and we are determined to create a generation of children who can not only achieve academically but be really good people, who can make a difference in our world. That is why we spend an enormous amount of time and energy working with children developing all parts of them, from Art and PE to the spiritual side of being a Christian.
I am so “Thankful” and it is a joy to come to work every day.” Mrs Firth
