Netball-tastic!

The children across school have been working with Mrs Bowden over the last four weeks, learning and progressing their netball skills and all the classes have shown an outstanding attitude. The children’s skills have really developed and Mrs Bowden has been able to challenge their skills further and as a result we have some very good netballers in KS2. In KS1 we have some future stars too.

Every child in the school deserves recognition for their amazing attitude and showing all our Christian Values not just in their lessons with Mrs Bowden but across school too. However, some children received prizes for going above and beyond in developing their skills and attitude so a very well done to all those children.

The 5/6 netball have also done well so far; winning the local festival and now qualifying for the Peterborough Finals.  If we do well, we will reach the county finals in July time, well done.! I would like to say a big thank you to Mrs Bowden for all her hard work and dedication to working with all the children and we look forward to working with her again next year.

Sport Relief 2018

We had a brilliant day on Friday 23rd March – fundraising for this year’s Sport Relief.  The school was filled with ballerinas, footballers and Kung Fu experts as we dressed up as sports people.  At breaktime the long-awaited staff netball match took place and the children loved cheering on their teachers. We were very fortunate to have Janette Bowden, (Cambridge Netball Development Officer) who has been in school this month teaching netball skills to the children during PE, to referee the match.  Congratulations to the winning team (there’s already talk of a re-match!).  The Food Council produced some tasty fruit smoothies as refreshments and they were very popular.

At lunchtime, there were sporty challenges to take part in using the trim trail, hula hoops and skipping ropes.  Those who completed the activities in the quickest time received a certificate.

We look forward to announcing shortly, how much money was raised.  Thank you to everyone who showed their support!
