Sacrewell’s school enrichment group programme aims to connect children with the countryside in a gently structured way. Children visit the farm regularly for a programme of activities planned and led by the Sacrewell team. The programme meets a wide variety of needs due to being off site and having a flexible programme that is tailored to the needs of the children.
Each week a member of the Sacrewell Education team runs a 60 minute session for the group. During their time on the farm the staff aim to give children as many different experiences as possible. Sessions will change according to the seasons but will typically include:

Explore the farm
Meet our friendly farm animals whilst completing our orienteering challenge.
Minibeasts
Dig for worms, turn over logs to find woodlice or pond dip for fish.
According to the season we should find minibeasts somewhere at Sacrewell.
Tractor Tour
Take a ride on our tractor trailer and visit the 500 acre organic farm on Sacrewell’s land.
Where does our food come from?
Visit the kitchen garden to discover where our fruit and vegetables grow.
Help with some gardening jobs and taste some of the produce ready to be picked.
Farm Animals
Help the livestock team to look after our farm animals. Put your wellies on and see what our animals need to keep them healthy and happy.
Support Wildlife
Explore the farm to find out where our wildlife live. Find out how we can support our countryside by, for example, making minibeast habitats or wildflower seed bombs to take back to school.
