Yesterday the St. John’s Primary School travelled to Winyates Primary for the annual hockey tournament.
St. John’s had great luck and were able to take two teams to this event! Both teams showed amazing teamwork an d fantastic sportsmanship! One team finished 5th place, winning their final match against Winyates. The other team had great success.
They made it through the group stage and won a semi final match against Winyates that sent them to the finals. They matched up against Braybrook for an amazing finals matchup.
The game finished 0-0 after full time. They went to shootout where unfortunately St. John’s fell to Braybrook.
Both teams should be very proud of their accomplishments! Miss Corley and Mr. Richmond would like to congratulate Reuben Steward, he was the MVP of the day! He showed amazing leadership and great skill, he led his team in goals!
