On Monday afternoon, Year 4, shared their musical learning with parents and carers. An amazing afternoon of musical talent was on show and blew everyone away. The performance started with the children performing 4 songs on the trumpets to show of their growing skills and understanding of reading and playing different musical notes. To think thise songs had only been learnt in 10 weeks was hard to believe.
Next, the children sang the following songs:
Dragon Ships - A song about being a Viking on a longship.
Jingle Bells (in Spanish)
It wason a Starry Night - Using sign language (makaton).
Come and Join the Celebration - A Year 4 favourite.
The children sang beautifully in unison and gave their all throughout the whole performance. It was an anzing experience for everyone involved and a real chance for the the children to shine.
We would like to thank Chris and the Year 4 team for helping the children to reach this outstanding level of learning at this early stage of the year. We have lots to look forward to over the rest of the year.
A big thank you to everyone who was able to attend the performance and make it a really special time for the children and we look forward to seeing you in the future at the next performance or another opportunity to see how amazing our children are.
Thank you,
Mr Carter
