This week year 1 have been learning about different types of poems and how to perform them.
Some of us learnt a Haiku, some of us learnt a Limerick and some even learnt a Sonnet! We discussed how to perform a poem using a strong voice, holding the paper between us and using intonation when we spoke.
When we were performing our poems we spoke about what each team did really well and how they could make their poetry reading even better next time! This will help us for when we write and perform our own poems next week!
