Reception enjoyed Shrove Tuesday, by exploring the story 'Mr Wolf's Pancakes'. We followed the steps, just like Mr Wolf; writing a list, reading a recipe, making and eating pancakes!
The children used this experience to help them write instructions, making sure they used bossy verbs to tell the reader what they need to do. We have also enjoyed taking part in lots of provision activities linked to this story and pancake day, including estimating how many times we could flip the pancake and seeing if we could do this more or less!
