Writer's picture: Lucy KentLucy Kent

St John’s Year 6 students were given a unique opportunity to glimpse into the world of construction and career possibilities, thanks to a special visit from leading construction company Taylor Wimpy and Magic Breakfast. The company not only conducted an engaging workshop aimed at raising students' aspirations but also made a donation to support the school's future endeavours.

During the interactive session, students were introduced to a range of careers within the construction sector, from architects and engineers to project managers and site workers. Taylor Wimpy's team shared personal career journeys and highlighted the diverse skills required in their field, emphasising that hard work, dedication, and continuous learning are key components of success.

In addition to the workshop, Taylor Wimpy made a donation to St John’s Church School. The funds will be used to enhance the school's resources and support further educational activities.
