On Monday, Year 6 all took on the role of a real person from 1940 who was evacuated from London to Stibbington.
We became immersed in the experience and learned where we would have lived, gone to school and the feelings we probably would have felt at the time. We took part in a lesson in a classroom but was unfortunately interrupted by an air raid siren. We sang songs to help cheer us up whilst we waited in the air raid shelter. We had an amazing experience and the children were a joy to take as they soaked up all the new knowledge they learned for our new History focus this term.
