If you would like to work in a supportive school where everyone’s talents are nurtured and honed then this is the place for you. There are many ways in which the school creates a culture of care, all staff have a school iPad, opportunities to plan as teams, excellent facilities to teach in and small class sizes. We support staff by giving teachers more PPA time than is nationally allocated, this encourages teachers to plan and think creatively. We want all children to experience the many types of learning and to experience success, to fulfil this expectation it is important for us to employ experts in their field.
The school also employs a full time learning landscape designer, someone who will help make your vision for the ideal classroom a reality.The school values all staff, the staff room is a vibrant and well-stocked place to relax, there is free fruit, tea and coffee. Staff are encouraged to visit other schools and participate in training.

St John’s Church School is situated in Orton Goldhay, Peterborough. We moved into a brand new two-form entry school building in June 2015.
St.John’s is a good school that is dynamic and improving. Focused on creating better life chances for all children. We do this through excellent ICT, creative enrichment opportunities, high staff to children ratios and a real passion for children.
We have a very low staff turnover because we invest in all our stakeholders. With excellent professional development opportunities, focused in-house CPD and vibrant international experiences. Previous staff have left to take up deputy headships and headships.
Saint John’s Church School is a voluntary aided church school with close links with its foundation church, Christ Church. The Christian ethos of our school is outstanding. All staff are expected to support fully this aspect of our school life and practice.
We are a community of learners with enquiring minds and a drive to achieve excellence.
